Barangay Automation Management System Data Privacy Policy

The Barangay, under the management of BAMS Data Solutions, Inc. (“BAMS”), recognizes and respects the privacy of constituents in compliance with Republic Act No. 10173, the Data Privacy Act of 2012. This policy outlines the responsible handling and protection of your Personal Information for data gathering for future barangay projects.

Coverage

To enhance community services and plan future projects, the Barangay requires certain Personal Information from constituents. This may include details such as full name, address, contact number, and other relevant data collected through the Blotter System. The information gathered is solely for reporting purposes and will be subjected to future data analysis.

Data Gathering and Usage

The collected information through the Blotter System serves the purpose of compiling reports and facilitating data analysis for the planning and execution of future barangay projects. All data will be handled with the utmost confidentiality and will not be used for purposes other than those stated herein.

Data Sharing

The information collected, particularly in the search module of the Blotter System, may be shared with BAMS users, including barangay and LGU personnel. This sharing is restricted to authorized users and is solely for the improvement of community services and safety. No information will be shared with external entities or unauthorized individuals.

Data Retention

Your Personal Information will be retained for a period in compliance with national laws, rules, and guidelines. BAMS has implemented organizational, physical, and technical security measures to safeguard your personal data.

I, as a constituent, understand that my Personal Information is collected for data gathering and future barangay projects. I voluntarily consent to BAMS collecting, encoding, transmitting, processing, analyzing, retrieving, updating, or modifying my data for these purposes. I acknowledge that data sharing within BAMS users is limited to authorized personnel for the betterment of community services. I affirm my rights to (a) be informed, (b) access, (c) object, (d) ensure erasure or blocking, (e) damages, (f) file a complaint, (g) rectify, and (h) data portability.
